Students at Copthall School in Mill Hill are celebrating an A-Level pass rate of 98 per cent.

The Pursley Road school had 96 A-Level candidates this year and 36 per cent of the grades they achieved were A* to B.

Headteacher Jane Beaumont said: “We are really pleased with these results.

“They show a continuation of the high standards secured over the last few years.

“Our congratulations go to students on these A-Level results.

“Their achievements reflect the hard work and commitment to learning exhibited by our students, the high standards of teaching delivered by staff and the support given to students and the school by parents.”

Among those celebrating at the school this morning were Karly Sito, 18, and Hannah Faki, 19.

Ms Sito, who achieved AAAB in biology, chemistry, physics and Chinese, will now study biomedical sciences at Kings College, London.

Ms Faki, who got AAB, is going to read interior design at AIU in London.

Ms Sito said: “I am very happy and am looking forward to university.

“I was really scared last night so I am really relieved now.”
