A group of thrill seekers abseiled down Beaufort House in the City of London to raise cash for a Barnet based charity.
Scaling 150ft down the building last Sunday, the 25 volunteers raised £11,000 in sponsorship money for Norwood which supports people with learning disabilities and families in need.
Ben Menahem, a lawyer from Stanmore, said: “It was an incredible experience and also a chance to overcome my fear of heights.
“I know that every penny raised today will go to an incredible and worthy cause.”
The charity is encouraging people to sign up for its next sponsorship challenge which will be a Moroccan themed cycle and trek on the first bank holiday weekend in May next year.
