Matthew, you have an interesting prose style. I think a career writing feverish thrillers awaits you, should you wish to pursue it. But I have to correct you on something - the London marathon was last weekend, conducted in the blazing (kind of) heat and so the current rainy weather will be of no help to the runners, although it will be good for all our gardens... if we are lucky enough to have one. P.S. I am voting for Andrew Dismore - yes, such people exist! Around Burnt Oak I only see Dismore posters.
