Save the Children's Christmas Jumper Day is back as famous faces turn out to support the festive campaign.

Celebrity duos including This Morning presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, and couple Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo have kicked off the campaign as they don their festive knits.

Mother-and-daughter Andi and Miquita Oliver, singers Martin and Shirlie Kemp, and Good Morning Britain co-hosts Adil Ray and Charlotte Hawkins have also been photographed in their quirky double-headed jumpers in aid of the charity.

This year, the Government has committed to doubling every donation raised up to £2 million for Save the Children from this year's jumper day.

Speaking about her involvement in this year’s campaign, Holly Willoughby, 41, said: “I’m really excited to be taking part in Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day again this year and I’m delighted that I get to do it alongside Phil!”

Her co-host Schofield, 60, added: “I’m supporting Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day because I never forget we knitted squares for Save the Children when I was in infant school – so sometime last century!

“It’s such a brilliant cause and I had so much fun trying to squeeze into that jumper with Holly!”

It's not just dynamic duos supporting this year's campaign either with many solo showbiz stars also donning their crimbo sweaters for a good cause.

This year's backers include singer and presenter Olly Murs, Strictly Come Dancing professional Giovanni Pernice as well as Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway and Spice Girl Emma Bunton.

Also swapping their Gladrags for cosy Christmas jumpers are football presenter Seema Jaswal, TV doctor Dr Ranj Singh, and comedians Adam Hills, Suzi Ruffell and Lee Ridley.

All of the celebs are sporting second-hand vintage jumpers to help encourage us to make sustainable choices when it comes to our fashion footprints.

Some of the jumpers will be distributed to Save the Children charity shops across the country.

The charity is also urging the public to up-cycle old jumpers to create new festive looks instead of purchasing new ones.
