Teenagers can vote for their next representatives in the UK Youth Parliament (UKYP).

Anyone aged 11 to 18 who lives, works or goes to school in Barnet has until 5pm on Sunday, March 8 to vote in the online poll.

The four winners will be announced on Thursday, March 12.

A total of 35 11 to 18-year-olds are up for election and have focused their campaigns on road safety, improving mental health support for young people and eradicating gang crime.

Chairman of Barnet Council's children, education, libraries and safeguarding committee, Reuben Thompstone, said: “I want to wish everyone involved in the elections the very best of luck. It is heartening to see so many young people have put themselves forward to fight for the interests of their peers.”
