PRIMARY school teachers are hoping to develop links with Moldova following a successful visit from educational ministers.
Pupils at Edgware Primary School in Heming Road, recently received a visit from five ministers from the Education and Social Care department in Moldova.
They observed how the government policy on special educational needs has been successfully achieved at the primary school.
They were accompanied by Dr Tony Russell, a researcher at the Institute of Education, who said: "I wanted the Moldovan ministerial delegation to see a school which had successfully tackled the discredited deployment of Teaching Assistants as revealed by our research at the IoE.
“Edgware Primary School was the school of my choice as I knew that they had set out on the path of reform some time ago, and we were not disappointed!”
The Ministers watched pupils take part in music and speech therapy, nurture groups as well as their own read to dogs’ session.
The successful visit means Edgware primary school is closer to developing links with primary schools in Moldova, east Europe.
