Once again, Barnet Borough Council has decided that they want to try and sell off Pavilion Way Fields in Burnt Oak.

It is very sad as from last year I, along with other residents of Burnt Oak, have been campaigning to get the council to honour the covenant and listen to the community.

The council last year had a lot of residents frustrated with an idea which they didn’t agree with. I, along with others, believe the council do not look after Burnt Oak as well as they should do.

Sport around Burnt Oak is non-existent because the facilities are not good enough and are not affordable to residents around Burnt Oak, proven by the fact that people going to play football would rather go out of their areas, to Powerleague’s in Mill Hill, Wembley, and also Goals in Wembley.

I would like to see the council consult the neighbourhoods of Burnt Oak and Hale and if they would like help with getting a public consultation, face-to-face with residents to help them gets what is best for their area, I would put my hand up to help and get it organised to help our homes and neighbours.
