Having been lucky enough to have lived in East Finchley for more than 40 years, and having brought up a family, with a son and daughter taking full advantage of all the local amenities available, I am now very shocked to hear that our local council is considering closing East Finchley Library, which has been a great asset all the time we have lived here.

For the sake of future families, who are increasing all the time, and retired pensioners, who use the library on a regular basis, I appeal to you to encourage your readers to reject any proposals to close the library.

It is used by local schools and must be a great advantage in young peoples’ education.

I appeal to you, once again, on behalf of a large number of the local community, to oppose any measures to close East Finchley Library and retain it with qualified, experienced staff.
