I see that Barnet’s top policeman Adrian Usher has resolved to tackle the public’s lack of confidence in the police (‘Barnet Police committed to seeing confidence levels rise’, Times Series website, January 8) but he will have a tough task.
In February 2014, with MP Matthew Offord, I gave Barnet Police incontrovertible evidence that thousands of documents were withheld from me, costing me thousands of pounds. I also provided the offenders’ signed false statements.
Section 3 of the Fraud Act 2006 says: “If any person deliberately fails to disclose information that they have a legal duty to disclose, in order to make a gain, or cause a loss, they are guilty of fraud.”
The offenders in this case are very influential and well known. After four months, Barnet Police simply said that they couldn’t see any offence. Doesn’t the Fraud Act apply in Barnet?
