I had the misfortune of meeting MP Matthew Offord the other day, when he was canvassing in my road. He stopped and asked me if I was voting Conservative and I said “No, I vote Labour”. Instead of walking away, he said “Really? And you’re happy to admit to that?”, and off he sashayed up the road.
Is it really necessary to look down your nose at residents – voters – because they’re not in your camp? When I complained about his attitude to one of his team who was with him, she just shrugged. True to type Mr Offord. Funny how the last time we saw you was election time too. A fair weather and sneering MP you are.
