For the second time in a few weeks, I’ve noticed paint in the brook that runs along the bottom of Friary Park and it seems someone is tipping their waste painting materials into the drain at the end of the day.
Of course, whatever life there ever was in the brook is now long dead. Dumping toxic chemicals down drainage pipes isn’t just illegal, it’s extremely irresponsible considering how many children and dogs play in this once-pristine brook.
