We would like to draw your readers’ attention to the need to report any theft, pilferage, loss of property and so on — however petty — from their home or vehicle.
Too often, one hears people say: ‘Oh, it’s not worth reporting’. But it is, as each bit of information extends police intelligence thereby building a picture helping them to identify patterns and trends leading to arrests and recovery of stolen goods.
If you don’t report your loss, how do you expect to get it back when police recover a haul?
Reporting an incident could not be easier: call 101 and an officer will take down information over the phone.
