Saracens winger James Short signs two-year deal with London Irish

London Irish have announced the permanent signing of Saracens winger James Short on a two-year deal.
Short, who is currently on loan at London Wasps, has struggled to establish himself in the Sarries first team and told the Times Series in November he was considering his future at the club.
The 24-year-old will always hold a place in Saracens history after he scored a brilliant title-winning try against Leicester Tigers in 2011.
He was one of the breakthrough players that season and has since gone on to score 12 tries in 54 Premiership appearances.
Short joined the Saracens academy at 16 years old and came through the ranks with the likes of Will Fraser and George Kruis.
The talented winger told the London Irish official website: "I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Saracens and winning the Premiership in 2011 was a real highlight.
"However I feel it is time for a new challenge and the chance to join London Irish is a perfect opportunity for me.
"They play a brand of rugby that will really suit my game and with players like Tom Court, Luke Narraway and Tom Guest also joining this summer, the intent of the Club looks very ambitious."
London Irish director of rugby, Brian Smith added: "James has a huge amount of Premiership experience for a 24-year-old.
"He is extremely talented, a great finisher and an ambitious player who will be a huge asset to our squad."
