Jonathan Wallace has signed a two-year deal with London Broncos after making the step up from the club's Under-19 side.

Wallace, 19, made his first team debut earlier this season against Wigan Warriors and has played six games in total this season.

The back-row also represented Malta in last season's international against Denmark.

"I'm delighted to confirm Jonathan as my first signing at the club,” head coach Joey Grima told the club's website.

"He has a great work ethic in training and on the pitch. Jonathan has come through the junior ranks at the club which gives us extra satisfaction that we have some good systems in place to produce such talented players."

Wallace continued: "I'm really pleased to sign a new deal, things with Joey have been really positive so far, so I'll be really glad to play under him for a further two years.

"In terms of speed and physicality it's a big step up from the under-19s. Even the training regime is a big shock on the body but I'm starting to get into it now.

"We're focused on this season so I'm not thinking about next year yet. We're trying to get some wins on the board. I want to stay in London. I love London, the club and the people so I'll be around for a while.”
