The Greens finally secured their place in the Ryman League Premier Division with a fine 2-1 win at Worthing on Saturday.

It is a magnificent achievement for a side who were among the relegation favourites.

A superb second half to the season has seen the Claremont Road outfit rise into a mid-table position.

Hendon have collected 49 points from their last 30 games, a rate which, taken over 42 games, would give the Greens almost 70 points for the season, or leave them just short of the play-offs.

Gary McCann and his battling troops can be proud of their efforts and it will have given the Greens every confidence for next season.

Hendon conclude their league campaign with a home game against Margate on Saturday.
