Mill Hill boxer JB Khalid is already eyeing up a world championship belt after signing a three-year professional deal with Steve Goodwin Boxing.
The 22-year-old began his amateur career at Finchley ABC, working alongside now IBF World Champion Anthony Joshua, before leaving to compete abroad.
After returning to his home country he joined Islington ABC and turned professional this year - with his pro debut expected in September.
Khalid will now be trained by Mark Pattison, who runs the Yard Boxing club in North Finchley, and has high hopes for his future in the ring.
Khalid said: “I am very excited to be finally competing as a professional boxer.
"I have a unique fighting ability. I really believe I will become a world champion in the near future.”
