Yannick Bolasie hit a last-gasp winner to make it four games without defeat for ever-improving Barnet.

John O'Flynn gave the Bees the lead three minutes before the interval, but Dale, gunning for promotion, hit back almost immediately.

But, minutes after the visitors were reduced to ten men, Bolasie fired in the winner, giving Rochdale too little time to respond.

Both sides played their part in an entertaining clash that could have gone either way, though the hosts created more chances, the visiting keeper pulling off some fine saves.

Barnet made just one change from the side that drew at Chesterfield, with the on-loan Mark Hughes coming in for Joe Devera at right-back.

The Bees started with the fierce wind and driving rain behind them in the first half, but it was Dale's Adam Le Fondre who had the first effort of the game, his long-distance drive flashing past the upright and just wide.

Barnet responded with John O'Flynn forcing keeper Frank Fielding into a fine block, the Irishman then smacking the ball against the bar from the rebound.

Despite the awful conditions, both sides were attempting to play good football in what was an open game.

Midway through the half, Nicky Deverdics tried his luck from far out, but, on the greasy surface, Fielding did well to parry his effort.

For Dale, Ciaran Toner shot over from 20 yards, as the game swung from end to end.

Ten minutes before the break, Matt Lockwood stung the hands of Fielding with a free kick. The keeper also did well to save from Paul Furlong, after Yannick Bolasie had set him up.

The goal finally came in the 42nd minute, Neal Bishop slipping O'Flynn through and the striker finding the bottom corner as Fielding advanced.

But Rochdale equalised in stoppage time, Lee McEvilly stabbing home from close range after Toner had flicked on a Nicky Adams corner.

Barnet sub keeper Ran Kadoch replaced Lee Harrison at the start of the second half. The first chance fell to Hughes, who drilled the ball just wide from all of 25 yards.

Albert Adomah then forced Fielding into another good save, as the Bees started well.

At the other end, Kadoch had to save with his legs to deny Le Fondre, who was freed by a superb McEvilly ball.

There was nothing between the two sides, Bolasie seeing the excellent Fielding push away another effort, while Kadoch pushed out an Adam Rundle drive.

Adomah was causing the Dale defence all sorts of problems, his pace creating a number of openings.

With 20 minutes to go, Ismail Yakubu rose for a corner, but his header flashed across the box and wide.

The match ended with Dale sub Chris Dagnall being sent off for a poor challenge on Bishop.

And, as the game entered stoppage time, Bolasie broke free and fired under Fielding for the winner.
