Finchley & District ABC boxer Anthony Joshua is the national ABA super heavyweight champion.
Joshua saw off John Nbejbayi of Manchester on points in Nottingham over the weekend.
His opponent was previously unbeaten, making his achievement even more eyecatching.
Coach John Oliver said Joshua had been ear-marked for the England training squad next month.
Mr Oliver said: "That gives the club ten champions this year and we're only half way through the season."
