England Under-21 star Henri Lansbury is launching a soccer school next week in Potters Bar.

The Arsenal midfielder, who is currently on loan at West Ham United, is holding a three-day coaching event at Cranbourne Primary School.

Lansbury decided to start the coaching course after talking to his cousin and recalling how much he enjoyed playing football at Sunny Bank School in Potters Bar as a youngster.

Lansbury said: "It was just between me and a cousin. We've enjoyed doing it and it's a good chance to get kids involved playing football. It's open to everyone and it's a chance to give something back to the kids.

"I was talking to my cousin and saying how much I enjoyed going to a football camp when I was young and we just said why don't we start one up? If it all goes well then we will be aiming to run it this summer."

The 21-year-old shares the same agent with Fabrice Muamba and was a team-mate with him at Arsenal and with the England Under-21s. The Bolton midfielder is recovering from his cardiac arrest and Lansbury has been understandably affected by Muamba's situation.

Lansbury added: "I was with Fabrice at Arsenal and went away with him to the Under-21 Euros. It was devastating news but he is getting better slowly. We share the same agent and I've been getting updates from him.

"I haven't visited him but sent a card. He seems to be speaking and having a bit of banter so hopefully he will continue to improve."
