Mark Robson is hoping to strengthen his Barnet squad with new signings before the end of the week.

The Bees boss has been busily working to bring new faces to Underhill before the players return to pre-season training at the beginning on July.

Barnet announced last night that they had agreed a deal for West Ham United defender Jordan Brown.

However, with hundreds of footballers across the UK looking for clubs during the summer, Robson admits the search can be hard.

Speaking on Tuesday he said: “There are so many players out there and everybody is looking for the right move and the right club, so it is difficult.

“But at the moment, obviously we are still in talks with players but it is looking good. We are making progress and hopefully we will have a few by the end of this week.”

When taking over the Bees, Robson revealed he would be looking to appoint a new number two and he is also hopeful someone appointted in the coming days. “That will be completed very shortly as well. That side of things is looking good and that is something that again we are hoping to have completed by the end of this week.”

Barnet are holding the first of two community days this Sunday at Underhill and Robson and the players are expected to be in attendance.

“It is nice to do things like this for the local community and get them involved.

“I’m looking forward to showing my face and of course meeting some of the players that are already here and, hopefully, one or two new ones that we hope to bring in.”
