Barnet will be without Edgar Davids for at least two matches after the Bees' appeal against the Dutchman’s red card at Accrington Stanley was turned down by The FA.

Davids was dismissed in the 85th minute after receiving a second yellow card for a foul on James Gray.

Barnet appealed the decision on the grounds of mistaken identity with the former Juventus midfielder stating it was Elliot Johnson that had committed the foul.

However, The FA have upheld the red card and Davids will now be unavailable for the matches against Fleetwood Town and Cheltenham Town and could miss further games if the appeal was deemed frivolous.

Davids was asked on social networking site Twitter whether he was able to play against Fleetwood this evening and responded: "Nope the FA didn't budge second time this season the FA is failing."
