Barnet forward Shaun Batt will face a fitness test ahead of the visit of Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday but Graham Stack and Kevin Lisbie are not yet fit to return to the fold.

Speaking ahead of the Bees' visit from the struggling Daggers, Allen revealed forward Batt –who has made just three substitute appearances in the league so far – could be fit enough to be in contention.

However, the game comes too soon for goalkeeper Stack (calf/hip flexor) and striker Lisbie (hamstring), who is still awaiting his debut after joining from Leyton Orient in the summer.

Speaking to the club’s website, Allen said: “Just about everyone is fit for this weekend apart from Graham Stack and Kevin Lisbie.

“Shaun Batt will have a fitness test on Saturday morning – he’s getting closer and closer to being ready.

“Luigi Cerullo is doing an excellent job behind the scenes; the players are being well looked after.

“Lisbie and Stack are coming along very well. They’ve had long term injuries, but they’ll hopefully be back in the next couple of weeks – that’s good news.”

Speaking after Saturday’s victory against Stevenage at The Hive, Allen revealed backup goalkeeper Jamie Stephens was carrying a minor groin problem when he was sent off at Portsmouth.

The former Liverpool stopper served his one-match suspension against Boro at the weekend with loanee Max Crocombe filling in between the sticks.

However, it is unclear whether or not Stephens will be fit to play or not. Or, for that matter, whether he would automatically take Crocombe’s place in the side.

The Bees and the Daggers have history going back to their Conference days and Allen knows the game will be an important one to supporters and players alike.

He said: “Of course being a London derby, it’s always special.

“For me personally it’s always special playing Dagenham, because that’s where both of my parents come from.

“It’s a big game for our players this weekend, and it’s an exciting game for our players to be playing in.”

Dagenham have enjoyed the better results in recent meetings with Barnet winning just two of ten meetings following promotion back to the Football League.

The Bees have not lost at home in six games – albeit those fixtures were at Underhill – with three wins and as many draws in a period which stretches back to 2004.
