Barnet have appointed Rossi Eames as the club's head coach.

The 32-year-old was put in caretaker charge after Kevin Nugent left the club in April and led the club to two wins in their last four games.

Barnet chairman Tony Kleanthous said the former academy coach was the best choice to lead the Sky Bet League Two club going forward.

The chairman told the club's website: "We have thoroughly searched through all the available choices and concluded that the best candidate was the one on our doorstep.

"We support his playing style and our team responds positively to his philosophy.

"We want to build on the foundations we have created and think we can provide Rossi with the support he needs to strengthen his management credentials.

"For us this was the bold choice and the right time to finally allow Rossi to take sole control of our football destiny."

Barnet finished the 2016/17 campaign in 15th place having won just four of their last 21 games.
