Budding table tennis players from the London Academy and North London Collegiate School claimed top honours at the Jack Petchey Foundation London schools table tennis team finals.
The event, which was held at the University of East London’s SportsDock on Saturday, saw a total of 46 schools take to the tables with pupils from Under-11 to Under-19 competing.
London Academy teams were victorious in the boys’ Under-16, the girls’ Under-16 and the boy’s Under-13 categories.
The school’s Under-19s were runners-up in their age group, losing out to Hillingdon’s Harefield Academy.
Pupils from North London Collegiate School produced a number of impressive displays and the Under-19 side clinched victory at their first finals.
The team, who are self taught, of Michelle Mui, 14, Maria Wang, 15, Sophie Tofalides and Anisha Rasan, both 17, proved too strong for their opponents.
