Nick Slyney will remain with the London Broncos after signing a two-year contract at The Hive.

The fomer Brisbane Broncos back-row moved to England in January and has been a key figure in head coach Joey Grima's side since arriving from Australia.

Slyney, 25, has played 14 times for the Broncos this term, scoring eight points in the process.

"I'm very pleased to have a two year contract,” Slyney told the club's website. "It's a bit of security for the future, more than that I want to try and help London get back to where they should be.

"I've loved it actually, I've really enjoyed playing football here even though the results haven't been going our way.

"I'm really enjoying the club and Joey's doing a great job, the boys are awesome and I couldn't ask for a better bunch of lads.”

Grima added: "Since coming over here he's been an incredible person and just over the last five or six weeks shown his real class and ability on the football field, more than that he's a good person,” said Grima.

"I see him as a real senior figure and a real big part to our success in 2015 and 2016.”
