Barnet picked up their first win back in League Two on Tuesday evening by beating Northampton Town 2-0 at The Hive.

After a poor first half in which Graham Stack twice kept the Bees in the game, John Akinde won and converted a second-half penalty for the Bees after being slipped in by Luke Gambin.

Jason Taylor was sent off for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity and Akinde made no mistake from the spot.

Martin Allen's side wrapped up the points at the death when Akinde raced onto Curtis Weston's ball over the top, rounded goalkeeper Adam Smith and rolled nonchalantly into the empty net.
