Tottenham Hotspur captain Ledley King put the disappointment of Spurs FA Cup semi-final defeat behind him as he visited TFA Totteridge Football Club.
The England international visited Totteridge as they celebrated their season which has seen their sides win three divisions and guaranteed places in the top leagues for five teams.
King visited the Totteridge Academy's sports hall in Barnet Lane with TFA Totteridge FC chair and Academy Director Socratis Socratous. “Having Ledley turn up to the awards was phenomenal,” said Socratous .
“Every team player got a high-five from Ledley, all 19 teams with their manager and sponsors had their photos with him and the Champion's League trophy and he even hang around to sign shirts. "One mum even handed her phone over for him to chat to a relative Spurs fan.”
He continued: “As well as thanking Ledley for being there for TFA, a massive thank you goes to all the staff at The Totteridge Academy who help me prepare the event from 9am in the morning." “It's going to be hard to do something better than today next year.”
